Leather charm, Dhow boat
The dhow is one of the most enduring symbols of the Arabian Gulf, a traditional wooden sailing vessel that has navigated these waters for centuries, carrying trade, culture and community across the region. Long before the skylines rose, the dhow was the lifeblood of the Emirates.
Now it lives on your bag.
Our dhow boat leather charm features an original illustration by Emirati artist Amna Al Saleh, handcrafted from sustainably sourced camel and cow leather purchased from a UAE tannery that transforms locally collected hides (a by-product of other industries) into finished leather. No solvents are used in the production process. The hanging loop is made from camel leather cutoffs from our key fobs, making it a beautifully circular, sustainable choice. And once you've finished with it? It's fully biodegradable.
Camel leather isn't easy to come by. Supply is limited, it takes time to source, and it's one of the most luxurious and durable leathers in the world. Which makes this charm all the more special.
Attach it to your bag, suitcase, key fob or car mirror, and carry a little piece of Gulf history with you wherever you go.
Why this makes a perfect gift: A beautifully meaningful UAE gift for anyone who loves Gulf culture, maritime history or the Arabian coast. Perfect for farewell gifts, travel gifts and anyone who has sailed these waters, literally or metaphorically.
