Unfold it to discover a majlis, a palm tree, a camel, a falcon and a dallah, the traditional coffee pot at the heart of every gathering. Each icon tells a piece of the UAE's story.

Speaking of the dallah: serving Arabic coffee to guests is a sign of generosity in the UAE and comes with its own set of rituals. The server holds the dallah with the left hand, the cup (finjal) with the right. The most important or oldest guest is served first, and the cup is only ever filled a quarter full. Common practice is to drink at least one cup but never more than three.
